Role in Project

In the SMHYLES project, COMETE will focus on developing Business Cases and exploring the market segment of Energy Storage in African countries. Serving as a technical advisor to numerous governments, ministries, and donors, COMETE specializes in electrification and engineering studies for both large and small-scale battery and storage systems. Additionally, we are actively involved in analyzing the pros and cons, emphasizing the crucial role of energy storage systems in strengthening the electrical grid. This analysis aims to urge the Tunisian government and local authorities to improve their legal framework and stimulate growth in the storage market.

Furthermore, COMETE has expertise in technico-economic modeling, and we will contribute to integrating Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA), and Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA). With a strong background in socio-economic assessment, we will also participate in establishing risk assessments for hybrid ESS technologies. The finalized roadmap and findings will be shared with our client for the relevant project.
