Capwatt SA + Capwatt Services SA
Capwatt is an innovating company that has been recognized as an independent energy producer and promotes integrated energy solutions, maximising synergies between decentralised production, provision of services and sale of energy.
Founded in 2008, we took advantage of the experience and know-how acquired in the development, operation and maintenance of decentralised energy production projects within our corporate group, dating back to the late eighties, thus transforming a collection of assets and competences into an autonomous business focused on the energy efficiency optimisation of our clients.
Currently, we are present in Portugal, Spain, Mexico and Italy.
We act on three essential pillars: Development of large-scale renewable projects, renewable fuels and decentralized energy solutions of which we highlight cogeneration, renewable thermal solutions, long-term PPPs with or without on-site generation – having the capacity to meet all energy needs.
Our know-how in the development and operation of power plants, partnering with industrial and services consumers, enables us to offer the best energy solution for our clients’ premises, considering the most appropriate solutions and following the best and most advanced international trends.
Sustainability is in our DNA. Each day we commit to care for the environment and to contribute to the betterment of the community to which we belong.

To this end, Capwatt has owned and operated energy storage solutions since 2020. This know-how on the various storage assets, which include lithium batteries and vanadium flow batteries, allows Capwatt to contribute expertise to the SMHYLES project.
As Pilot-Owner, we intend to guide the technologists involved in order to find an innovative and interesting aqueous storage solution for the electricity market.
